Job Description Job Summary: This position is responsible for managing the Regulatory department under ISO, EPA, FDA and other applicable standards under the supervision of the R&D Director. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with consumer and production laws/regulations within the chemical manufacturing industry. This manager will lead a team that will perform detailed inspections of raw material and finished good hazards, be proactive and up to date on current regulatory affairs, and co-ordinate business needs with other functions. A high degree of independent work ability and individual initiative will be expected in fulfilling the requirements of this position.
Key Responsibilities: Utilize strong problem-solving skills and communication to supervise the Regulatory department, deliver on company goals, and develop the team Maintain regulatory updates for compliance with customer, ISO 9001, and government requirements and assure that the documents are controlled within ERP/QMS software Manage regulatory finance schedule and report results to management Work cross-functionally with operations (manufacturing, sourcing, purchasing) to oversee customer compliance, product labels, and assist with product launches Assist with advanced troubleshooting on external and internal issues such as customer complaints, process deviations, incoming regulatory challenges, etc. Present quarterly regulatory metrics to the leadership team and find opportunities for improvement in the data Qualifications Qualifications :  Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years of experience Knowledge of industry and government regulations Ability to train and mentor subordinates to maintain a strong team Must have good verbal and written communication skills Computer literate and excellent organization skills Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision Additional Preferred Qualifications : Proven portfolio management and project/process management experience. Business acumen and excellent presentation skills (to customers, vendors, senior internal staff). Experience in the Automotive industry. Competencies:
