Are you a legal professional with a passion for regulatory law and advocacy? Are you eager to make a meaningful impact in the automotive industry? Look no further! NADA (National Automobile Dealers Association) is seeking a dynamic staff attorney to join our team as a Regulatory Affairs Attorney.
This is a full-time on-site position with a healthy work culture, competitive salary, and excellent benefits. Duties require some travel, comprising up to 10% of the role. The Regulatory Affairs Attorney is a perfect role for someone interested in advocating for the interests of Auto Dealers to the White House and federal administrative agencies.  Key Responsibilities: 
Analyze proposed federal rules' impact on members (franchise dealers) and write advocacy comments to federal agencies advocating for the interests of our members. Develop and manage relationships with federal agency officials, trade associations, and industry partners, and collaborate closely with public affairs and legislative groups to advance and develop NADA policy. Manage NADA initiatives, conduct educational webinars/seminars, and oversee website compliance materials for our members related to federal regulations. Develop expertise in assigned regulatory areas. Support departmental research and projects, including monitoring policy and date trends affecting dealers. Required Job Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school required . Minimum 2-5 years of experience in regulatory law required , preferably with a focus on federal regulations (CFRs). Membership in good standing in the bar of at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia is required. Experience tracking, analyzing, and drafting comments on federal regulations, preferably related to EPA and/or NHTSA.  Collaborative mindset with a passion for advocacy and education. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Background in environment and/or safety regulations is highly desirable. Experience in drafting comments or working for a federal agency is a plus.
