Responsibilities Courteously and professionally greets patients. Obtain accurate demographic insurance information. Correctly code and verify insurance coverage. Collect estimated patient responsibility or screen patient for assistance programs. Provide assistance to patients presenting or calling with billing questions. Process medical records requests. Prepare monthly paperwork for scanning. Prepare monthly paperwork for scanning. Prepare bank deposits. Create and maintain work schedule. Audit patient charts for accuracy. Maintain consistent communication within the department. Conveys an image of dignity and trustworthiness Respects the rights, privacy and differences of others Supports the rights of patients in the daily delivery of care Uses time effectively Utilizes supplies appropriately and participates in recycle and re-use programs Discharges and transfers patients timely Follows safety policies for self and patients Relates with others in a positive manner so that maximum job results are producedEffectively uses verbal and legible written communication skills with others.
