We are currently looking for individuals who are interested in learning more about completing an apprenticeship with Micron. As an apprentice, Micron will pay for your degree while you earn valuable hands-on experience at our world-class Fab in beautiful Boise, Idaho!
Micron's Registered Apprenticeship Program provides an "earn while you learn" model that is flexible based on your current school schedule, allowing you to directly apply your learned material while at the same time gaining hands-on, on-the-job training at our facility. During your apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to work closely in partnership with our production and engineering team members from various areas, in and out of the Fab.
We will start interviewing for these positions in the fall for three key apprentice roles: Manufacturing Technician, Equipment Technician, and Lab Technician. Responsibilities Completes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with safety policies? Improves area safety behaviors and processes for the work environment? Contributes to continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catches on safety issues Partners with Production and Shift Engineers/Technicians to execute daily priorities Accurately documents the work performed and current tool statuses Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Enrolled, or willing to enroll, in College of Western Idaho's Mechatronics AAS degree program. Basic to Intermediate PC skills with MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint?experience? Must be willing to work any shift on a rotating schedule (allowing for flexibility around your school schedule). Solid time management and prioritization skills Ability to multi-tasking and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment Enjoy working in a team environment Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a cleanroom or an electro-static discharge (ESD) sensitive environment?? Ability to troubleshoot intermediate problems and identify and resolve root causes???? Ability to follow basic procedures and work with minimal supervision???
