Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our healthcare team in a hospital setting in Johnson City, TN . As an RN in our hospital, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care, promoting patient safety, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal outcomes. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients admitted to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), including assessment, monitoring, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions. Perform frequent assessments of patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status, and intervene promptly to address any changes or abnormalities. Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as prescribed, and monitor patient responses and side effects. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies, and provide emotional support and encouragement throughout their hospitalization. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, patient care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to promote patient safety, quality of care, and optimal outcomes. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies. Experience Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of experience in a progressive care, step-down, or similar unit preferred. BLS and ACLS certifications required; additional certifications such as PALS or TNCC preferred. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to excellence in patient care and professional development.
