Responsibilities
• Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs• Develop and implement nursing care plans• Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families• Provide nursing care within nursing practice standards• Ensure accurate transcription of physicians' orders• Monitor and document patients' status and significant changes• Complete nursing treatment plans• Administer medications accurately and document controlled substance count• Efficiently process admissions and discharges• Maintain therapeutic rapport with patients and coordinate unit activities• Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and co-workers
Requirements
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing• Possess a current Nursing license• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric experience preferred• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required• First aid may be required
