About the job The SAS Health Care Center (HCC) is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team! Since 1984, the HCC has proudly delivered the highest quality healthcare, whether managing complex chronic conditions, treating acute illnesses or injuries, or administering routine immunizations. And because we are a family practice, we care for all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics. In this role, you will, teach and counsel patients; as well as plan, implement, direct and evaluate nursing care.
As a Registered Nurse , you will:
Checks in patients to be seen at the Health Care Center (HCC). Checks vital signs and prepares patient for exam. Reports and records appropriate patient data. Assists with medical procedures (e.g. suturing, biopsies) and patient exams, as needed. Performs routine patient procedures, such as injections, wound care, first aid, uncomplicated suture removal, etc. Provides telephone advice to patients, following established protocols. Follows established HCC procedures regarding prescription refills. Orders, organizes, and maintains patient education materials. Directs teamwork flow and facilitates team scheduling. Represents the clinical support team on HCC decision-making groups. Makes referrals to community specialists, as needed. Maintains appropriate paperwork. Performs other duties, as assigned. Required Qualifications Diploma, Associate Degree (AD) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an NLN-accredited school of nursing. Current unrestricted North Carolina license to practice as a Registered Nurse. Typically requires six years of experience as a registered nurse, to include two years of experience in a primary care office setting. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in place of the requirements stated above. You're curious, passionate, authentic and accountable.
