Reports To: Behavior Analysts or Assistant Behavior Analysts
Basic Function Responsible for providing direct behavioral therapy to individuals with an autism spectrum disorder. Behavior Technicians implement applied behavior analytic (ABA) programs, designed by and under the supervision of Behavior Analysts for the purpose of addressing clients core deficits and behavior challenges associated with their Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis.
Responsibilities Complete initial technician training and demonstrate competency with ABA terminology and interventions before being assigned clinical work. Conduct treatment sessions in homes, clinics, schools and communities, as assigned. Behavior Technicians typically conduct treatment sessions for an average of 3-6 hours per session, or as designated by the client's treatment recommendation. Clients typically have multiple treatment sessions per week. Follow treatment plans and instructional protocols designed by the Behavior Analysts for each child's treatment plan goals. Respond to feedback provided by Lead Technicians and/or the client's Behavior Analyst, and implement any and all changes required in order to ensure client progress. Communicate and collaborate with other technicians, Behavior Analysts, administrative team, and parents in order to provide an effective program. Document all treatment sessions on a daily basis, to include conversion of appointments same day as treatment sessions, but no later than 24 hours of session to ensure accuracy of reporting. Maintain client medical records and treatment data in an organized manner. Maintain professional boundaries at all times with clients and families. Represent The [Brand] LLC. in a positive manner at all times with clients, families and in the community. Communicate with your direct supervisor and/or the client's treating Behavior Analyst regarding any problems or concerns, and ensure communication with appropriate [Brand] staff prior to discussing with client's family, referral source, or other [Brand] staff members. Attend and participate in meetings and ongoing training. Develop, organize and maintain instructional materials as needed. Ensure accurate records of billable treatment hours which; communicate about changes to scheduled sessions with Clinical Supervisor immediately. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education/Training High School Diploma or Equivalent Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Communicative Disorders, Occupational Therapy, or related fields highly preferred Experience Prior experience with children required ABA with children with ASD preferred Job Posted by ApplicantPro
