Department College Assistance Migrant Program Salary for Announcement The minimum of the pay range for this position is $41,200. We anticipate the qualified candidate to be placed between $46,300 - $53,000 . The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. Additionally, Student Affairs has committed to tying our salaries to an understanding of a living wage. To that end, we will not pay less than $46,300.
The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary The MSU Denver College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) Outreach & Enrollment Coordinator will actively identify, recruit, and enroll students for the program and implement the recruitment plan, which includes outreach to statewide high schools, GED programs, adult education programs, agricultural employers, migrant/seasonal farmworker programs, and the community at large. The CAMP Outreach & Enrollment Coordinator will also work in collaboration with recruitment staff to coordinate recruitment events, maintain student files, participate in local, state, and regional recruitment fairs and outreach programs, conduct presentations, analyze and evaluate recruitment needs and perform other recruitment duties as assigned. Fluency in both the English and Spanish languages is required.
Recruitment staff must have experience working with and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population including (but not limited to) students of color, LBGTQIA+ students, students from low-income backgrounds, first-generation students, students with disabilities, undocumented students, non-traditional students, student veterans, and English-language learners.

Duties/Responsibilities 50% - Outreach & Recruitment Build relationships with partners, including students, parents, high school counselors, teachers, adult education programs, GED programs, agricultural employers, migrant/seasonal farmworker programs, and the community at large Work closely with MSU Denver 's Office Enrollment Management, including the Office of Admissions, Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, Office of the Registrar, Office of Orientation, Transfer and Reengagement, Office of Testing Services, and other on campus partners to support the identification and enrollment of CAMP-eligible students. Disseminate information through outreach visits and presentations about the University and MSU Denver CAMP with all identified partners Organize, coordinate, and oversee on-campus visits, open houses, tabling opportunities, and other events aimed at increasing program awareness, recruitment, and enrollment Conduct field visits, which include travel to work with the above-identified partners, and may involve overnight stays while recruiting in and near the state of Colorado Update CAMP website as needed to attract prospective students and keep information up to date 35% - Enrollment & Student Support Successfully identify and enroll a minimum of 30 first-year students from migrant and seasonal farm working backgrounds each academic year to the MSU Denver CAMP project Enroll eligible participants who are most in need of the academic, financial, and support services provided by CAMP Assist identified students with the enrollment process; applying to MSU Denver, federal and state financial aid, Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR), and other requirements needed for successful enrollment Gather CAMP eligibility documentation and maintain student files to comply with federal regulations 10% - Supervision of Recruitment Student Staff Oversee hiring process for recruitment staff Direct student staff training, including the understanding of CAMP eligibility, enrollment procedures, financial aid applications, and federal grant regulations Supervise student staff recruitment, including maintaining social media accounts, design and marketing of promotional materials, and other outreach efforts 5% - Data & Record Keeping, and Other Duties as Assigned Maintain up-to-date records of outreach visits Maintain a contact log for each prospective student Track and maintain records of outreach and recruitment for the Annual Performance Report (APR) Assume any other CAMP responsibility as may be assigned by the CAMP Director Required Qualifications
Bachelor 's degree. At least one year of experience providing students and their families information about college and recruiting students for a program or college. Experience conducting workshops or presentations and coordinating pre-college efforts in collaboration with high schools, or colleges, or community resources. Fluency in both the English and Spanish languages: speaking, reading, and writing is required. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with the migrant, seasonal farmworker community. Experience with developing working relationships with families and professionals in the K-12 setting. Prior experience working with a CAMP, High School Equivalency Program (HEP), or similar program. Knowledge of the college financial aid application process.
