Responsibilities
• Plan and conduct year-round sporting activities and special events• Evaluate effectiveness of ongoing activities and programs• Maintain and enforce safety guidelines for equipment and facilities• Supervise and provide administrative support to subordinate positions• Ensure records of sports participation and standings are maintained• Prepare and monitor budget documentation• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Completion of a four-year degree in athletics or related field• Minimum four years of progressive experience in athletic/recreation arena• In-depth knowledge of activities and needs within military community• Knowledge of NCAA, AAU, and ASA rules• Skills in financial and physical resource management• Knowledge of personal physical fitness and ability to develop fitness programs• Effective communication skills• Supervisory and motivational skills• Knowledge of non-appropriated personnel instructions
