Serves as the Receptionist for the Campbell Graduate Engineering Center (CGEC), home of Clemson's Automotive Engineering department, located on the CU-ICAR Campus in Greenville, SC. Greets visitors entering through lobby, answers phone calls, sorts and delivers mail, signs for packages & notifies recipients, monitors lobby traffic. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES: 35% - Essential - Reception:
Greets individuals entering the Campbell Center. Instructs visitors on completing Visitor Log. Directs visitors to the appropriate locations and/or notifies faculty/staff of their arrival. Answers front desk phone and help provide basic information about the department and/or record and distribute messages.
35% - Essential - Mail & Package Management:
Completes a daily mail check of the department post box, which is located a short walk away in an adjacent building. Sorts mail into appropriate employee mailbox in CGEC. Receives packages at front desk from UPS, Amazon, FedEx, etc. and notifies faculty/staff. Occasionally may be required to use CU online directory to lookup individuals to determine their affiliation and reach out via email to notify of delivery.
15% - Essential - Front Desk Management:
Keeps the front desk area organized and tidy. Adds professional clothing donations to student Career Closet. Maintains department lost and found items.
15% - Essential - Events:
Assists with greeting special groups of visitors for planned events. Provides basic assistance to department Office Manager with occasional large events (coordinating catered food deliveries, setting up coffee station, etc.)

COMPENSATION INFORMATION Expected Salary Range: ($13.00 - $15.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
