If this sounds like you, apply today!Responsibilities:Verify ownership, legal descriptions, and restrictions by analyzing liens, maps, public records, leases, plat books, agreements, surveys, and contractsIssue title policy and transfer title ownership after reviewing all closing documents to ensure title commitments have been satisfied and preparing a closing statementConduct property search to check for real estate title defects or issues, such as claims, liens, mortgages, deeds, wills, or fraudWork effectively throughout the closing process with a variety of industry professionals such as real estate agents, settlement agents, title insurance agents, law firms, escrow officers, closing agents, paralegals, and escrow companiesPresent deed to new owners after recording all legal documents at the county and federal levelConduct a search of real estate recordsTravel to and from county offices to pick up and deliver documentsQualifications:Microsoft Office Suite proficientA high school diploma is a requirement, but a college degree is preferredTitle industry experience is not required, however, additional opportunities exist for candidates with experience in title and/or escrow, mortgage processing, or legal researchA Kansas title producer license is not required, but the opportunity will be given to obtain licensingPrefer process-driven, analytical, and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skillsAbout Company:Tallgrass Title is a full-service title insurance and escrow company that serves Kansas.
