Responsibilities Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, adhering to established protocols and physician orders Position patients and employ appropriate radiation safety measures to ensure accurate and high-quality images Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to evaluate and interpret imaging results Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety Document patient information and imaging results accurately in electronic medical records Educate and reassure patients about imaging procedures and address any questions or concerns they may have Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and participate in continuing education activities Requirements Bachelor's degree in radiology technology or a related field Certification as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) State licensure as a Radiology Technologist Proven experience working in a radiology department or healthcare facility Thorough knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and techniques Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality images Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare professionals Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment Proficiency in using electronic medical records and imaging software Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring safety Benefits Below is the job details
