Responsibilities
• Maintain a safe R&D lab environment by taking on active safety roles in the R&D lab• Follow guidelines and best practices for lab notebooks, data storage, and backup• Conduct inventories of chemicals and consumables• Handle hazardous chemicals and canisters safely• Organize lab storage• Conduct well-documented reactions, purifications, and chemical fillings
Requirements
• College student majoring in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering• Excellent communication and computer skills• Team player that puts safety first• Familiarity with water and moisture sensitive chemicals• Experience with operations inside glove boxes• B.S in chemistry or related fields• Physical requirements: must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, FRC clothing• Ability to enter and work in confined spaces• Ability to wear a respirator
Key Skills Needed
