Job Title: Quality Technician Reports to: Quality Engineer Manager FLSA: Non-Exempt Salary: $19/hour Schedule: Swing Shift 7a-7p. (The shift is 12 hours, rotating weekends; one week the schedule is 36 hours, the next week the schedule is 48 hours). Job Summary Works closely with engineering and production teams to ensure that product quality is maintained. Produces, interprets, and reports product quality and test data. Works with quality and process engineers, quality lab technicians, and other quality technicians to effect corrective actions and continual improvement. Maintains quality inspection and nonconforming material areas.
Responsibilities Perform dimensional measurements using common hand gages Record results in ERP system (Oracle NetSuite) Interpret dimensional results and effectively communicate issues to team following the established escalation process Participate in Gage R&R studies, correlation studies, and design of experiments (DOE) Participate in layered process audits (LPAs), 5S audits, and safety audits Observe all TekModo health and safety protocols Maintain quality inspection and nonconforming material area organization and cleanliness Other activities as assigned by the Quality Manager and/or Quality Engineer Qualifications Perform dimensional measurements using common hand gages Record results in ERP system (Oracle NetSuite) Interpret dimensional results and effectively communicate issues to team following the established escalation process Participate in Gage R&R studies, correlation studies, and design of experiments (DOE) Participate in layered process audits (LPAs), 5S audits, and safety audits Observe all TekModo health and safety protocols Maintain quality inspection and nonconforming material area organization and cleanliness Other activities as assigned by the Quality Manager and/or Quality Engineer Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly Must have the manual dexterity required to do the job Standing for long periods of time on hard surfaces, lifting and carrying objects, stooping, squatting, bending, kneeling, and reaching Vision abilities include- near vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral; vision, depth perception and ability to adjust/ focus All work is performed in a noisy, non-temperature-controlled environment Safety composite toed shoes or steel toed boots/shoes must be worn in production areas while production is running; safety glasses are required.
