Summary?  Estes Energetics is searching for a Quality Technician to join our black powder manufacturing operations in the Shreveport-Bossier area. As a Quality Technician in our manufacturing lab, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality. Essential Functions?  Conduct tests and analyses using established procedures and protocols. 
Make improvements to an existing analytical laboratory to support the current black powder manufacturing facility. 
Record and document experimental procedures, data, and observations in a clear and organized manner and analyze data using appropriate methods. 
Inventory monitoring and management.
Ensure shipments are properly classified, labeled, and documented.
Assist in the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment. 
Interface with Management regarding in-process testing, final lot testing, and the control and disposition of non-conforming material. 
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and well-organized laboratory environment. 
Competencies, Experience, and Education Previous experience in a laboratory. 
Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and instrumentation. 
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects. 
Strong attention to detail in conducting tests and recording data. 
Strong verbal and written communication skills.? 
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. 
Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols in a laboratory setting. 
Eligible to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses including: 
Be 21 years of age or older. 
Pass pre-employment drug test. 
Pass State and Federal background checks. 
Salary Salary will depend on experience. 
Physical Demands Sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Occasional movement through a manufacturing environment. Use of personal protective equipment appropriate to the work location. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Employees are expected to work at least 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
