Position Purpose: Performs product inspection audits and ensures that quality standards are conformed-to per company and customer criteria
Essential Duties: Provides general QA department support Inspects all questionable raw materials before the raw materials enter the production process Determines whether questionable raw material falls within standards and specifications or if material requires discarding Documents non-conforming materials and prepares data and photographs Works with internal and external customers Audits all WIP and finished goods Assists in the ongoing training effort to build quality into the manufacturing process Sets example for peers in quality and safety Assists in creating visual aids to help eliminate questions regarding product packaging or foam qualities Follow 5s and Safety policies and procedures Assists in meeting productivity standards by completing work quickly and accurately Other duties, as assigned Knowledge, Skills, Experience: A minimum of 1-year related experience and/or training in quality control or equivalent combination of education and experience. SAP experience a plus Excellent computer skills required – Excel, Word, Outlook etc. Willingness and ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong written and verbal communications skills Education / Certifications: High School Diploma and/ or equivalent required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to work independently and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position requires the wearing of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) consisting of eye protection while on the production floor as well as hearing protection in designated areas. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, regularly exposed to noise levels in the work environment which are moderate to loud, and exposed to temperature ranging from moderate to high depending on the time of year and location of the work being done.
