Job Description Summary: Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial plumbing systems. Conduct all assignments in a timely and professional manner. Troubleshoot and repair major plumbing repairs, such as water leaks, fixture repair and/or replacement, sewer cleaning, repair, and replacement, etc. The duties and responsibilities of the position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities: Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals Follow building plans and blueprints Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required Prepare bids, budgets, and cost estimates Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used Other duties as assigned Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Work Experience: 2 years experience as a journeyman plumber Education: High school diploma or GED certificate Certification/Licensing: Valid Driver's License with good driving record Plumber Skills: Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices. Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings. Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and Copper Computer Skills: Basic Microsoft Office, use of email. Organization Skills: Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously Cross-functional skills: Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously Communication Skills: Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate may climb/descend steps and ladders. The associate may work on roofs, tight confines, in attics, basements and crawl spaces.
