Quality Manager Role at Dudley, NC Plywood Role
Georgia-Pacific's Dudley Structural Panels plant is hiring an experienced Quality Manager to join our team. Being a member of the plant leadership team, the Quality Manager reports to the facility Operations Manager. They work together with operations to meet the facilities production goals focused on ensuring the site produces excellent Quality first time that meets our customers needs to ensure GP is their preferred partner. What You Will Do Use a safety mindset in all parts of your day-to-day activities Ensure the plant meets all quality KPI's Manage Quality, Value & Yield through process control monitoring (performance reviews, comp reviews, RRE discussions, etc.) Ensure plant quality program operates in Compliance with all Regulatory Agencies including all required documentation and reporting out Will chair all internal and external audits of sites Quality Management System Conduct (or Coordinate) training for manufacturing quality standards Manage the QMS Quality Programs to provide real time feedback to all departments Escalate results that operational leaders need to be made aware of Coordinate internal product verifications across the plant Set-up and lead quality control studies before and after process changes Utilize the QMS Process to drive improvements and sustain performance Verify all finished goods leaving the site meets the strictest of packaging requirements Oversee calibration schedules for all departments hand tools used for documenting quality checks Basic Qualification 3 years or more of Quality Leadership experience managing quality process improvements in a manufacturing environment Able to work in fast paced environment Moderate computer skills working in Microsoft Office Suite Able to work long periods of time in industrial manufacturing plant in noisy, non-airconditioned or unheated areas Be team player that can communicate clearly with others in all environments What Will Put You Ahead Degree in Wood Sciences or Engineering Managing Experience in Manufacturing Environment Experience working in plywood or wood products Advanced computer skills
