Job summary
The Quality Manager provides leadership and direction for all Quality Control and Quality Assurance areas within the Company.Responsible for quality reporting, analysis, certifications, and compliance related to product and process quality.Sets the vision and strategy for the quality group.

Responsibilities
• Communicates Company's vision, mission, and strategic direction.• Leads, guides, directs, and evaluates work of direct reports.• Partners with management and executive teams to ensure adherence to certifications and compliance.• Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and processes regarding production methods, quality, and safety.• Defines and implements solutions to improve business processes and product quality.• Responsible for achieving short- and long-term goals for Quality departments.• Manages efforts and results of quality and test area personnel.• Promotes a total quality environment through interaction with all levels and functions within the organization.• Maintains communication with customers and suppliers.• Provides coaching, development, and support for production personnel.• Prepares budgets and ensures responsible functions are conducted within budget guidelines.• Works closely with Operations and Engineering support departments.• Works within the guidelines of the current labor agreement.• Performs other duties assigned by the President as needed.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.• BS degree required, preferably in an engineering or technical field.• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance techniques.• Experience with Quality procedures and documentation.• Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.• Strong critical thinking, negotiation, and planning skills.• Ability to prioritize workload and meet business goals.• Ability to work well in a team and fast-paced environment.• Experience with SAP and lean manufacturing preferred.• Proven customer interaction and management skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
