In this role you will help prevent faulty hardware from progressing in the manufacturing process and support root cause mitigation and elimination of failure modes.You will support the Quality Manager and Production organization, with deliverables required for internal leadership, board of directors, and investors.WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:Lead team members to ensure clarity and accountability of responsibilitiesEnsure deliverables are met tomaintainall programs deadlinesCoordinate and steer the collective efforts of all inspectors- (Mechanical and Electronics) and CMM programmersEnsure documentation of non-conformancesin accordance withRocket Lab systems and procedures in our internal ERP,MESand Issue tracking systemsTake ownership of MRB process ensuring all parts are properlyidentified, and work with engineers to disposition and process hardwareCarry out and document regular 1-1's (min. monthly) and annual performance reviewsYOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS A QUALITY INSPECTOR SUPERVISORBachelor's degree and 5+ years of Production Supervisor experience; OR high school diploma and 10+ years of Production Supervisor experience in lieu of a degree in the Aerospace industry. Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Experience inspecting with CMM's, Laser Trackers, RomerArms and microscopesTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:Experience with applying lean manufacturing principlesProven ability to aligningcapacityto inspection forecastExperience preferred in fast-paced production environment with flight quality hardwareExperience on using measurement instruments like comparatorsFamiliar withIPC-610, IPC-620orJ standardsSHIFT HOURS7:00AM - 4:00PM Monday – FridayADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
