Quality Inspector Responsibilities: Performs complete layout inspection to ensure the product meets specifications Perform structural steel inspections, weld inspections, special inspections, and other related inspections, and generate inspection reports as required. Perform all NDE inspections that the technician is qualified for per SNT-TC-1A standard. This may include utilizing Liquid Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Inspections, Ultrasonic Testing, and Visual Inspections Ability to interpret customer specifications / read technical construction drawings to determine that any examinations performed meet the established customer and code requirements. Maintains record of inspections and prepares list of defects, interacts with other departments to ensure compliance with specification and to facilitate the acceptance of parts. Document ALL rejected parts using the correct documentation Quality Inspector Requirements: Technical Degree preferred but will consider work experience CWI Required with 2+ years of technical experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, directions and prints, and inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet standards A minimum of one year of previous experience using computers and measuring instruments. CMM operation and programming are a plus. ?
