POSITION SUMMARY As a Quality Control Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing the coordination, training, and supervision of the daily tasks of Quality Control personnel. In addition, the role entails providing support to Quality Control employees to ensure the precise and effective completion of departmental duties and functions. Facilitating communication with management and other departments is also essential to ensure the fulfillment of quality production requirements.

Located in Henderson, Nevada, near the exciting and diverse community of Las Vegas, ProCaps Laboratories is a large and rapidly growing manufacturer with approximately 350 employees that markets several hundred dietary supplement SKUs, along with an expanding line of functional foods (bars, packets, bottles, etc.)
WHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS) Associates degree or equivalent experience commensurate to the industryMinimum of five years' experience in the area of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control in a Pharmaceutical, Dietary Supplement, Cosmetics, or Food manufacturing environment; to include a minimum of three years in a laboratory environment in a Supervisory capacityExperience in wet chemistry (chemical identification; sample extraction; titration) and use of other analytical equipment; e.g., HPLC, FT IR, GC, and SpectroscopyFamiliarity with troubleshooting of various laboratory instrumentationsExperience in Microbiological and Stability testing a plusKnowledge of cGMP and GLP requiredFamiliarity with FDA regulationsMust possess the computer skills to be proficient in Microsoft OfficeStrong written and verbal communication skills, to include the ability to communicate effectively with employees and managementDetail and quality orientedMust be able to work outside of regular hours or on weekends based on business demands WHAT YOU'LL DO (OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES) Oversee the analysis process for physical and/or chemical requirement to meet turnaround requirementsAssist in audits as requested Ensure the highest quality product is produced by continually striving to improve and create company and department SOPEnsure that products meet cGMP specifications for Identity, Purity, Strength, and CompositionGenerate and distribute department reportsPrepare for and attend company and department meetings as requiredTrain all QC personnel on all current QC laboratory proceduresTrain all QC personnel in cGMPs and GLP regulatory requirementsDevelop, train, and implement the use of laboratory notebooks and Analytical WorksheetsProvide support for developing test methods for finished goods and raw materialsProvide support for developing test methods for current QC laboratory equipment and train QC personnel on current methodsImplement testing of raw materials using created specifications and current QC lab equipmentResearch and submit proposal for additional laboratory equipmentCreate, review, and revise QC SOPsWork with QA Supervisor regarding compliance and problem-resolution issues, as well as laboratory developmentComplete daily report listing completed projects, current issues, and projects pending completionContributes to a working environment that allows all employees equal opportunities for development, growth, and advancementConducts business in compliance with the Company's Code of Business ConductProvides effective leadership and directs the work of subordinatesCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and proceduresParticipates in staff selection, coaches performance, and provides ongoing and timely communication regarding performance, training, and development opportunitiesPerform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned WHAT WE OFFER ProCaps Laboratories provides:A competitive salaryExcellent Medical, Dental and Vision InsuranceHealth Savings Account with employer contributionPaid Time Off, Holiday Pay401K plan with generous employer match100% Company Life and Short-Term Disability CoverageHealth & Wellness ProgramGym Membership Reimbursement ProgramHealthy Vitamin Discount programEmployee Referral ProgramLive and work in one of the most exciting and diverse communities in Nevada.
