About the Role
Are you a self-starter with a passion for manufacturing? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Technology Instructor. In this role, you will collaborate closely with small and mid-sized manufacturers, transferring knowledge and optimizing manufacturing efficiency, reliability, and throughput. From Smart Manufacturing technologies to Lean principles, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients embrace innovation and achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Identify industry trends, drivers, and technology gaps among Michigan manufacturers.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in relevant fields.
Develop and lead training classes for our clients, focusing on key manufacturing technologies and processes.
Identify promising market opportunities and provide executive-level and shop-floor-level coaching and training.
Support sales efforts through innovative presentations and relationship building.
Assess manufacturing operations and devise practical solutions for improvement.
Apply expertise in business strategies such as lean manufacturing and quality management to support our clients.
Qualifications
Proficiency across a broad range of manufacturing technologies.
Proven experience in building partnerships and engaging with customers.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective workshops and training sessions.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Experience in plant floor layout design and simulations.
Background in developing new service offerings.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
Familiarity with Smartsheets and consulting practices.
Passion for Industry/Manufacturing 4.0 concepts is a plus.
Expertise in Total Productive Maintenance preferred.
Strong project management skills.
Proficiency in software tools such, and ERP systems.
Understanding of financial statements and P&L.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and cloud applications.
Six Sigma certification (Black Belt or Master Black Belt) preferred
