Responsibilities
• Sampling and testing aggregate/asphalt materials• Gradation of stockpiles at plant sites• Selecting products for tests and testing for various qualities• Recording test data and applying statistical quality control procedures• Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards• Data entry into computer for analysis• Working safely and following company policies and procedures
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED• 2 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination• Level 1 NC D.O.T. or SC D.O.T preferred• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, and technical procedures• Ability to write reports and business correspondence• Ability to calculate figures and amounts• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions• Ability to interpret technical instructions• Physical ability to meet the demands of the job• Knowledge of basic algebra and geometry
