The Infrastructure Shared Services (ISS) Team is responsible for all of Pure Storage's engineering infrastructure, development environment and production services. We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer with a specialization in infrastructure automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about streamlining data center operations through the implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) and self-service delivery mechanisms. This role requires a strong background in DevOps principles, agile methodologies, and hands-on experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using IaC principles to manage and provision data center resources efficiently. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure requirements and develop automated solutions that meet business needs. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure code deployment and configuration management. Implement self-service portals or APIs to enable teams to provision and manage infrastructure resources autonomously. Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability through continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards in all infrastructure automation processes. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime and impact on business operations. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends related to DevOps, data center engineering, and infrastructure automation. 4-5 years of hands-on experience developing software and working in infrastructure automation. Experienced with developing APIs and automating data center infrastructure. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on infrastructure automation. Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform. Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Solid understanding of networking concepts, virtualization technologies, and storage systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.
Knowledge of infrastructure security principles and tools (e.g., TLS, Active Directory Integration, or Hashicorp Vault).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
Basic understanding of Pure Storage technologies is a plus.
