Position Summary and Responsibilities
Establishes and implements a vision of supply chain excellence. Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies in an organization by performing the following Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage all aspects of the Supply Chain function including supervision and coaching of department personnel
Builds partnerships with suppliers aimed at improving vendor performance
Search, locate and approve new vendors, wherever applicable, with support from Quality and Engineering
Quote, negotiate, and secure orders of materials to support production and other internal requirements
Maintain and continually improve supply chain processes, documentation and applicable records
Participate in internal and vendor audits
Establish and realize cost reduction, supply chain improvement and vendor performance goals
Determine make/buy decisions
Create, update and maintain function policies and procedures in accordance with AS9000/ISO9000 requirements and corporate policies
Update and maintain accurate standard costs & accurate vendor lead times
Record and approve daily time and attendance in ATM for purchasing personnel, as appropriate, per corporate policies
Actively participate in activities/meetings with function leaders
Submit supply chain function performance reports as requested by management and corporate
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business or a related field; 5-10 years related experience
MS Office, XA system or other ERP system
Excellent communication in both verbal and written
Read and understand mechanical, military and commercial specifications including aerospace related processing specs
Procurement and negotiation skills
Inventory management and scheduling skills
Strong logical and prioritizing skills required
U.S. Person required for this position, includes but is not limited to, U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents
