Responsibilities
• Sourcing hotel rooms, convention centers, and function space• Negotiating and contracting with clients and vendors• Developing and managing processes and proposals• Communicating with team members and supplier partners• Delivering operational excellence and growth• Maintaining awareness of industry trends• Formulating recommendations based on client objectives• Executing contracts and developing process maps• Participating in client presentations• Developing and maintaining industry relationships
Requirements
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience• Minimum four (4) years' meetings and travel industry experience• Contract negotiation skills• Deadline driven environment• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite• Strong editing and writing skills• Strong organizational skills• Client facing experience• Sourcing and contracting multiple hotel and citywide events a plus• Superior customer service ethic• Excellent communication skills• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team• Ability to travel and attend presentations as needed
