Purchasing Agent

Position Summary The Purchasing agent will be responsible for a variety of tasks supporting the procurement department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will report to the Purchasing and Scheduling Manager and will act both independently and with others in the Purchasing and Production departments on standard procedures and special projects as they arise 
Responsibilities Provide support for the procurement department Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing and lead times Day to day purchasing for all companies Creating and sending Purchase orders, and following up with acknowledgements Validating Invoices when needed Receiving inbound product in the system when needed Working with Estimating department obtaining buyout pricing when needed Tracking open PO's on a bi-weekly basis Participate in bi-weekly Production meetings Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of administration and/or procurement experience  Strong communication and interpersonal skills A clear sense for time management, organization, and accountability We Offer: A competitive benefit package which includes Success Bonus program Medical, Dental, Vision  Employer paid Life; Short/Long Term Disability 401(k) Drug/Smoke free environment Applicant must successfully pass a post-offer drug/alcohol screen to continue the employment process We offer paid sick time after 90 days and paid vacation after 6 months of continuous full time employment
