Hours: M-F 8a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pay rate: Hig$25/HR What's a typical day as a Purchasing Administrator? You'll be:
• Managing the purchase requisition process on behalf of and in coordination with department buyers.
• Managing the invoice release process on behalf of and in coordination with department buyers.
• Processing order confirmations on behalf of and in coordination with department buyers.
• Communicating with internal customers regarding purchase order status and reaching out to suppliers as necessary.
• Supporting procurement and maintenance of commodity groups and suppliers as necessary.
• Supporting new supplier setup and qualification process as necessary.
• Managing the request for quote (RFQ) process and preparing sourcing decisions when needed.
• Executing action items that are created as a result of the commodity group strategy when needed.
• Conducting supplier development activities such as Q-meetings, audits, and performance tracking when needed.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have experience in purchasing, supply chain, procurement, or project management in an industrial environment.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can work under pressure and have analytical and conceptual skills.
• Are organized, flexible, and take initiative.
• Have the ability to work independently as well as on a team.
• Have a strong working knowledge of MS Office programs including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Hold a Bachelor or Associate degree in engineering and/or business or a related field, or have a suitable combination of education and work experience.
