The Pump Technician II will be able to work diligently, accurately, independently with minimal oversight, and will possess a problem solving ability in order to identify issues and ensure functionality. This individual has 2-3 years of experience in a production / manufacturing setting or component fabrication and be able to perform the following functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Read and fully understand written instructions, product drawings, and diagrams. Perform assembly and testing operations on multiple AODD pump product lines, service kits, and sub-assemblies following standard work instructions in an ISO 9001 environment. Check assemblies for proper fit, form, and function, replacing parts and components as required in a systematic rework loop as necessary. Tests and troubleshoot pump assemblies following standard work instructions. Champion 5S activities and projects focused on product line cell ownership. Regularly audit and redline standard work instructions as part of cell ownership and continuous improvement. Perform simple set-ups for test stands, fixtures, and tooling following standard work instructions. Effectively communicate with peers and management both verbally and in writing. Serve as an effective trainer to other production technicians as necessary. Properly document and handle material scrap following documented procedure. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Transports parts to be tested and completed parts to appropriate area for shipping, stocking, or rework. Determines product rejects for rework or scrap and completes required paperwork. Ability to fit into a team setting Must be able to use various hand tools used to crimp, cut, strip and measure. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to work in the cleanroom environment JOB CONDITIONS
General manufacturing environment. Cleanroom manufacturing environment. May require working with hazardous substances such as but not limited to Acetone and Isopropyl Alcohol QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a High School Education or equivalent. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Good eye-hand coordination. Impeccable attention to detail. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics. 2-3 years experience in a production/manufacturing setting and/or mechanical assembly.
