Public Space Attendant

Job summary
The Public Areas Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of public areas.Includes maintaining supply levels and routine checks of cleanliness.Assists guests and other staff members as needed.

Responsibilities
• Maintains supply levels in the public areas, i.e. toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, and Kleenex.• Maintains and cleans all public washrooms, checking according to the checklist twice each hour.• Makes routine checks of all public areas to ensure cleanliness.• Dusts all tables, lamps, and ledges in all public areas and corridors.• Maintains the cleanliness of all windows, glass, and doors in public areas.• Checks guest elevators, cleans elevator floor, and polishes brass as necessary.• Performs cleaning tasks in public areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and collecting garbage.• Assists guests and other staff members as needed.• Follows all company safety and security policies & procedures.• Assists with housekeeping and laundry as needed.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED.• Must display very good organization and time management skills.• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Must have sound judgment and discretional skills.• Must be able to work under pressure and prioritize multiple projects with attention to detail.• Able to train others in a work setting.• Must be able to work evenings and may be required to work overtime.• Minimum 1 (one) year of experience directly related to the essential functions listed above.• Previous hotel experience.• Prior experience in a janitorial or housekeeping position.
