Job summary
Provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department.Maintain standards in accordance with the standard practice manual.Maximize sales through excellent customer service and minimize shrink.

Responsibilities
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness.• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service.• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.• Receive and rotate deliveries.• Prepare and display merchandise in accordance with policies and guidelines.• Process beef and grinds as directed.• Wrap, label, weigh, and stock meat case.• Assemble, disassemble, and clean the grinder.• Clean and sanitize the department.• Maintain variety and layout standards.• Utilize advertising and sales promotion materials.• Adhere to company guidelines, policies, and standard practice.• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.• Correct unsafe conditions and report accidents.• Ensure compliance with regulations.• Wear the Food Lion uniform and adhere to the dress code.• Complete required training courses.• Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.• Must meet minimum age requirements.• Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position.
