As we continue our growth, we strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment where professionals can make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals seeking mental health and addiction recovery care.Position: As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive psychiatric care to patients across the lifespan. This position involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with various mental health conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development and implementation of patient care plans. You will have responsibilities of medication management, outpatient detoxification, and diagnosing other mental health conditions.Responsibilities:* Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health status.Formulate accurate and comprehensive psychiatric diagnoses based on clinical assessments.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to obtain a holistic understanding of patients' medical history and needs.* Treatment Planning and Implementation:Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, as appropriate, in accordance with state regulations.Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families regarding treatment options, medications, and coping strategies.* Collaboration and Communication:Work collaboratively with therapists, social workers, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and integrated care.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to establish rapport and facilitate engagement in the treatment process.Participate in regular case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment adjustments.* Continuous Professional Development:Stay current with advancements in psychiatric medicine, attending relevant conferences, and pursuing continuing education opportunities.Contribute to the development and maintenance of best practices within the organization.Qualifications:Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from an accredited institution.Current California state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).Minimum of 3+ years of experience in psychiatric nursing.Experience within addiction services strongly preferred, but not required.Benefits:Competitive salary starting at $170,000 to $220,000 annually based on incoming experience.Health, Dental, Vision, Short-term disability, and Long-term disability insurance.401(k) plan with 5% employer match on first 50% contributed, then 3% employer match on remaining 50% contributed.Opportunities for professional development and advancement.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Schedule: Full-time, on-site position.
