Responsibilities Administer proton therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist Ensure accurate patient identification and treatment details Position patients using immobilization devices and specialized equipment Operate and monitor proton therapy machines during treatment Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records Collaborate closely with the radiation oncologist and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment planning and delivery Educate patients and their families about the proton therapy process and potential side effects Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines for proton therapy Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standard of patient care Requirements Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy or a related field Certification as a Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Valid and unrestricted state licensure as a Radiation Therapist Minimum of 2 years of experience in proton therapy, preferably in an oncology setting In-depth knowledge of proton therapy procedures and equipment Ability to accurately follow protocols and deliver precise treatments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient safety and providing compassionate care Benefits Assignment Location: Kansas City, KS
