DESCRIPTION Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
Have you wanted an opportunity to manufacture electric propulsion systems for an advanced satellite constellation? The Propulsion Manufacturing Engineer will develop, implement and refine processes used to fabricate and qualify electric propulsion systems. You will mentor colleagues within the team.
Key job responsibilities
- Support architecture determination and designing the propulsion system configuration
- Provide input into designs to enhance manufacturability and reduce costs
- Develop and own inspection, manufacturing, qualification and acceptance tests including hardware and workflow design
- Design and carry out process development tests
- Process and interpret assembly and test results to generate design guidance.
- Coordinate with other Kuiper team members to establish a path towards volume production.
