Overview:
The Proposal Development and Content Specialist is responsible for

writing proposals and developing responses to Requests for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFI/RFP/RFQ) for submission to prospective and current clients in compliance with response specifications.

Additional responsibilities include originating copy and managing content library, and preparing follow-up information for previously submitted proposals such as presentation development or other designed marketing collateral.

Salary : $80k-$90k

Responsibilities:
Owns and leads the proposal development process from start to finish, while often managing multiple projects, project teams, and deadlines at the same time
Analyzes the requirements of an RFI/RFP/RFQ and decides what information to include in the response and the appropriate colleagues to include in the proposal response team
Coordinates with all company departments, business units, and executive leadership to gather all response materials to ensure an accurate, up-to-date proposal that solves for the customers challenges and demonstrates the value of a partnership with our organization, putting us in the best position to move forward in the bidding process
Writes proposals using the input obtained from all sources in a concise, responsive, logical manner while ensuring the information complies with the request specifications
Manages the proposal submittal process by required deadlines whether through hard copy delivery, online submittal, email delivery, or any combination thereof
Plans and prepares presentations that align with previously submitted proposals; coordinates multiple meetings with presentation team to develop client-specific, customized presentation
Conducts any additional research that is required to develop the best proposal response, presentation deck, or marketing/communications materials
Develops original copy for proposal sections and maintains processes for tracking and managing document review cycles; requests, assesses, and incorporates ongoing feedback from management to ensure maximum value and effectiveness in our messaging
Reviews/edits content, proposals, presentations, or other materials prepared by colleagues to ensure consistent messaging, style/formatting, and branding in line with the quality standards of the organization
Assists with strategic planning and continuous improvement for the department, as well as any other activities to support the sales, marketing, and communications needs of the company

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Associates, bachelors, and/or masters degree (preferred)
Must possess strong writing skills and be familiar with marketing and communications practices and concepts.
Must be extremely detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Must be able to work flexible schedules and respond to work assignments with little to no advance notice.
A minimum of two years experience in content writing and management and professional proposal development, especially technical responses for government RFPs, is preferred.
Previous experience with sales and/or marketing support, presentation development, and design skills preferred.

Preferred Skills:
Degree in major related to business and/or communications
Knowledge of additional systems or applications such as

(Adobe Canva, Loopio, Seismic, Salesforce)
Security service industry experience and/or experience in professional services marketing
Work experience that demonstrates ability to work remotely
