Seeking a skilled Property Accountant experienced in multi-family residential real-estate . Successful Accountant candidates must have experience in all facets of multi-family Property Accounting. Essential Responsibilities For a Property Accountant Complete all aspects of corporate accounting/bookkeeping such as accounts payable/receivable, deposits, reconciliations, audit management and fees, monthly financial statements, and cash analysis Review monthly financials prepared for all entities and portfolio Review monthly variance reports completed by Regional Managers and coaching for improvement Prepare cash analysis for properties as requested Conduct random audits of general ledgers for correct coding as well as rehab codes for capital improvement projects Conduct audits to ensure policies and procedures are being followed in Accounting Serve as corporate liaison between Accounting, Auditing, and Operations to ensure accounting functions are performed at the highest level Serve as problem solver between 3rd party accounting firm and in-house corporate team members Oversight of Auditing Manager and Office Coordinator to field and direct accounting questions Experience & Background Requirements For Property Accountant 3+ years in multi-family real-estate accounting Experience in property management or leasing a plus Knowledge in property management software such as AppFolio and Yardi Understand the different review process for cash basis properties versus accrual properties If you are looking to grow professionally as a Property Accountant and join an outstanding team, apply now!
