Property Accountant

Position Overview: The Property Accountant is responsible for the financial reporting of properties in a portfolio of commercial and/or residential real estate. The Property Accountant will work closely with the Property Management team and Senior Accountants to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities: Create rent rolls for properties in the portfolio. Analyze income and expense statements for various properties. Reconcile accounts, such as tenant deposits, tenant escrow accounts, rent deposits, and other accounts. Monitor cash flow of the portfolio, ensuring that all outstanding accounts are paid in a timely manner. Prepare financial reports for the portfolio. Track and report on tenant delinquency, leasing activity, and occupancy levels. Collaborate with the Property Management team to ensure accurate financial reporting. Assist with budget preparation and forecasting. Perform annual audits and tax return preparation. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred 2+ years of experience in an accounting role in the field of real estate. Experience with property management accounting and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Benefits -Competitive Salary 60-75K
