We strive to be a high-performing, innovative team that reflects the equity, respect, and diversity we wish to see in the world.In Project Manager, Solar Independent Engineering role, you will work on a variety of solar and solar + storage projects throughout North America. You will be exposed to the entire project life cycle, work with the biggest developers and financiers in the space with cutting edge technology. The primary functions of these positions include supporting major customer accounts, performing project due diligence, managing projects, contributing to process improvements, sharing knowledge, obtaining and receiving feedback, and a bit of business development including developing proposals. In this role, our team provides technical consulting and independent engineering services for solar project developers, financial institutions, and investors who rely on our reports as part of their investment decision making process. What You ll Do Initiate and coordinate the technical review process among internal specialists including civil and electrical engineering, energy assessment, technology, and permitting teams, and synthesizing and writing due diligence reports Perform overall project management activities and ensuring excellent customer communication as the key point of contact for the execution of due diligence engagements Perform portions of due diligence reviews, including contract and financial model reviews, and synthesis of inputs from technical disciplines, as well as other reviews and analysis within your expertise Discuss and resolve technical issues with project developers, lenders, and investors, including coordinating input on such issues from internal technical specialists Develop and win proposals for scopes of services related to due diligence work Coordinate or perform DNV construction monitoring and site visit activities Support customers through the financial closings of projects Participate in continuous improvement efforts including leading tool development, process refinement, digitization efforts, and lessons learned activities Advance team and industry thought leadership Support our mission and vision and having fun while you do it Position Qualifications What Is Required Bachelor s degree in an engineering, science, business, energy, or other related field is required Minimum 2 years of experience in the solar industry Excellent communication (verbal and written) and deft project and time management skills, including an ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines Fluent in MS Office Solution oriented thinking skills and high integrity Understanding of energy industry technology (modules, inverters, mounting systems/trackers, balance of system, etc.) Supportive and proactive team member, eager to work in a collaborative environment Proven HSE mindset and demonstrated behavior-based safety mentality We conduct pre-employment background and drug screenings What Is Preferred Master s degree Some concentration of experience in at least one of the following: solar industry construction and operating contracts, solar project construction, operations/asset management, solar project design/development, module/inverter technology, energy assessment, power marketing/offtake contracting, energy storage technology and implementation, market research/policy, or in the independent engineering functionExposure to contracts (construction, supply, operations, interconnection, offtake, subscription, and/or asset management contracts) Familiarity with budgets and financial models Working knowledge of PVsyst and solar energy assessment Working knowledge of the solar project financing process (direct experience preferred) Project management designation or experience Familiarity with energy storage systems **Immigration-related employment benefits, for example visa sponsorship, are not available for this position** What We Offer Generous Paid Time Off (Vacation, Company Holidays, Parental Leave, Sick, and Disability) Multiple Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefit Plans to choose from Spending Accounts FSA, Dependent Care, Commuter Benefits, Company-Seeded HSA401(K) with company match Company provided life insurance, short-term, and long-term disability benefits Education reimbursement program Employer-Paid, therapist-led, virtual care services through Talkspace Flexible work schedule with hybrid/remote opportunities **Benefits may vary based on position, tenure, location, and employee election** How We Do It We Care, We Dare, We Share

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act and New York City Salary Transparency Law, DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado or New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado and New York City, NY only, the range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 - $140,000.
