Job Description AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to be based in our Massachusetts Office Locations (Remote/Hybrid is acceptable). This full-time position within our Environmental Planning & Permitting Department will work with an existing team to help manage a variety of public sector and private sector projects with oversight from senior managers, scientists, engineers and technical experts. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Massachusetts environmental regulations (MCP, MAWPA, etc), a strong focus on health and safety, be detail orientated, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits Managing scope, schedule, and budget for tasks small to mid-sized environmental and infrastructure construction projects Environmental Permitting Support Task Management, Site Support relative to Construction Working closely with Sr. PM/SME/LSP as a deputy performing scientific, financial, design and bid document development Building strong client relationships Client and regulatory correspondence Technical report writing and review Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise Manage project financials to meet project goals Preparing cost estimates and proposals Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors Responsible for quality control of tasks Mentor project Jr. staff Will require some regional travel for field visits May include the supervision of junior level staff Qualifications Minimum Qualifications : BA/BS + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency or experience and / or education. Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or closely related field. 1+ year of project management Valid Driver's License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review. 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training Supervisory experience Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship Required Preferred Qualifications : 7 years of experience in environmental consulting Experience working for clients in the public infrastructure and transportation sector Experience working with Massachusetts environmental regulations.
