Job Category: Engineering Job Family: Operations Engineering Job Description: In this role you will identify, develop, and execute (individually, with, and through others) Sustainability related capital projects especially focusing on the areas of Water and Energy consumption and Wastewater Treatment systems. What you'll do:
Collaborates with engineering and operations team members to develop energy and water usage conservation opportunities. Leads reviews and audits of existing wastewater treatment systems to understand current capabilities versus needs and develops plans to close gaps. Leads efforts to execute identified projects in the energy and water conservation and wastewater treatment areas. Acts as a sustainability champion and advocate across the organization focusing on strategy and long-term planning, project management for the energy and water conservation opportunities and the wastewater treatment systems. Create and participate in the development of project schedules. Monitor schedule milestones, track progress, and implement schedule recovery efforts when needed. Participate in contractor, architect, developer, and vender selection and negotiations and needed. Maintain comprehensive and well organized project records, to include owners and maintenance manuals, as built drawings, warranty information, drawings, specs, contracts, change orders, etc. What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Minimum 10 years experience in Environmental & Sustainability Engineering Project Management and execution roles or relevant job positions Proven success managing multiple complex projects simultaneously. Proven ability and experience to lead others to accomplish project workload. Prioritizing and balancing short-term objectives with a long-term strategy. Systems thinking and process-oriented, continuous improvement mindset. Ability to define, track, and report success metrics across the organization, including top-level management. Working knowledge of federal, state, local laws and regulations, entitlements and permitting process. Strong written and oral communication skills.
