Job Description SummaryThe Project Manager, Global Litigation will be a member of the GE Vernova Global Law & Policy team, reporting to the chief litigation counsel for GE Vernova's Gas Power business and supporting the business's response to litigation and disputes worldwide.Job DescriptionThe Project Manager, Global Litigation will (i) conduct the development and management of the factual record in key disputes, (ii) manage GE Vernova Gas Power's e-discovery efforts and initiatives, and (iii) serve as a part-time chief of staff to the general counsel for GE Vernova's Power segment – a segment comprising its Gas Power, Steam Power, Hydro Power, and Nuclear Power businesses. Essential responsibilities will include to:Conduct the investigation and development of facts needed to advance GE Vernova Gas Power's claims and defenses in significant commercial disputes, in coordination with in-house and external counsel.Coordinate the identification, collection, and use of documents, witnesses, and systems in aid of GE Vernova Gas Power's litigation strategy.Manage external providers to ensure consistent, cost-effective, state-of-the-art e-discovery services in GE Vernova Gas Power's commercial disputes – including tailored collection and high-quality review of documents critical to litigation outcomes.Collaborate with and support GE Vernova's Global E-Discovery Manager on data preservation and e-discovery programs and protocols, so as both to comply with U.S. and global standards and privacy requirements, and to meet GE Vernova's Gas Power's business and litigation needs.Partner with in-house and external counsel on discovery issues and disputes – including discovery-related motion practice, meet-and-confer letters, ESI protocols, and protective and case-management orders.Develop fit-for-purpose solutions and approaches to discovery challenges across cases and jurisdictions around the globe.Support and educate in-house teams, including non-litigation counsel and business stakeholders, on their data preservation and e-discovery needs globally.Interact with GE Vernova Gas Power's Digital Technology team, keeping abreast of developments in in-house DT infrastructure and ensuring appropriate data preservation and collection capabilities.Develop and report on key quality and cost metrics.Maintain expertise on cutting edge data preservation and e-discovery technologies.Coordinate across the Gas Power Legal regions, specialty functions, and assigned Finance liaison to develop the monthly and annual Gas Power Legal update and financial report for GE Vernova's General Counsel. Provide input and be responsive to GE Vernova Legal Operations' activities and initiatives as Gas Power Legal's representative.Lead Gas Power Legal's Lean operations and calendar the team's appropriate trainings, kaizen events, and process improvements.What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityMinimum two years of relevant work experience, preferably in-house at a corporation or government agency, including experience with global data and discovery issuesDesired CharacteristicsExperience and comfort with e-discovery concepts, processes, and protocolsDemonstrated knowledge of forensic collection and examination techniques, e-discovery technologies, and evolving industry standards – and a willingness to identify smart cost savings and process efficienciesWell-versed in U.S. and non-U.S. discovery and privacy standards and requirements, as well as evolving standards and future trendsAbility and enthusiasm to learn engineering and technical concepts important to GE Vernova Gas Power's business – including function of electric-generating equipment and power station construction and serviceCuriosity and willingness to master novel and detailed issues of fact central to GE Vernova Gas Power's commercial disputesProven ability to build strong, cross-functional partnerships with a variety of audiences in GE Vernova's locations around the globe, including legal, engineering, commercial, digital-technology, supply-chain, and finance teamsTech-savvy, highly motivated self-starter and proactive problem solverProven organizational and analytical skills with extraordinary attention to detailAbility to work independently in an evolving, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects while maintaining a high quality of workStrong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skillsPassionate about GE Vernova's mission to provide economical, reliable, and sustainable electricity the world overBenefits Available to YouGE employees rise to the challenge of building a world that works. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, geographic location, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10%annual performance bonus.
