Job Title: Project Engineer - QSR Prototype Projects Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 annually - DOE
Benefits: 401(k) with company match Profit sharing program Merit bonuses About the Position: We are seeking a creative and motivated Project Engineer to join our client's Winston-Salem office with a focus on Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) prototype projects. As a Project Engineer, you will work under the supervision of a Project Manager and in collaboration with civil designers. This role requires a licensed Professional Engineer who will serve as the Engineer of Record, responsible for signing and sealing construction documents.
Responsibilities: Design and oversight of QSR projects including site layout, grading, erosion control, storm drainage, stormwater management, water, and sanitary sewer systems. Serve as Engineer of Record, signing and sealing construction documents. Coordinate with civil design teams to ensure project requirements and timelines are met. Attend and participate in client meetings to discuss project progress and deliverables. Manage site permitting processes with local and state agencies. Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations. What You Need for this Position: Minimum of 8 years of direct experience in site engineering, including at least 4 years as Engineer of Record. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. PE (Professional Engineer) License required. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Strong familiarity with Hydrology Studio, Newforma, and EPANet 2.2 is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. You should be proactive, able to anticipate project needs, and adept at solving complex problems. The ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment is essential.
