Project Engineer

to join their highly qualified team. The

Project Engineer

will oversee all mechanical and structural design activities essential for the modification and modernization of electric overhead cranes within the Region Americas. Key Responsibilities:

Manage Product Lines – Legacy EOT and Portal Cranes
Interpret order documentation and customer specifications to determine project scope and plan
Utilize company archives to retrieve records of legacy equipment and proficiently interpret mechanical and structural drawings
Perform engineering tasks using established procedures, including creating equipment layouts, conducting mechanical and structural calculations, and generating final designs
Develop detail, sub-assembly, assembly, and installation drawings necessary to fulfill project requirements
Draft detailed work instructions to support field installation
Assume responsibility for project planning, scheduling, design execution, and adherence to budget and schedule from inquiry through start-up

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience with overhead electric cranes or similar industrial equipment preferred
PE license or ability to obtain licensure is advantageous
Excellent understanding of machine design and structural engineering practices
Experience in the overhead material handling industry highly preferred
Familiarity with industry specifications including CMAA and ASME B30 beneficial
Proficiency in welding and machining required

Additional Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with SAP, AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office
Ability to effectively communicate between frontline sales, customers, application engineers, and project management
Capability to work at heights up to 100 feet off the ground for site visits, application, and commissioning
Approximately 5% travel required to meet with customers, commission equipment, and inspect products at various manufacturing locations, domestically and internationally
