Job Description

The Boston University Global Development Policy (GDP) Center

is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and versatile Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that all GEGI research deliverables and outreach activities are executed effectively and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. If you have experience in project coordination, strong organizational skills, and experience and interest in global development issues, we encourage you to apply.
Project Coordination
Organize and participate in GEGI and GDP Center meetings to ensure timely research deliverable completions.
Liaise with communications, team leads, and research fellows to coordinate research outreach activities.
Manage the recruitment and onboarding of fellows, research assistants, and other staff.
Support collaboration with internal and external research and policy partners.
Collaborate with teams across GEGI to produce and disseminate high-quality research outputs on schedule.
Work closely with the Executive Director, Associate Director, Finance & Administration, GEGI Program Manager, and GEGI research team to ensure that GEGI research activities meet the established deadlines and requirements.
With guidance and supervision of the Associate Director, Finance & Administration and GEGI Program Manager, coordinate logistics for research-related travel, events and workshops, including travel and hotel bookings for GEGI team and guests, venue selection, catering, AV equipment, etc.

Finance and Administration
Assist in managing project finances and budgets, maintaining expense records.
Collaborate on interim and final reporting to ensure accuracy and completion.
Contribute to the development of project proposals and coordinate budget and financial reviews.
Research and identify potential new vendors to avoid project delays.
Manage the review process for project proposals and contracts in collaboration with the finance team.

Requirements
Education:

Bachelor's degree required preferably in international development, sustainable development or a related field; a master's degree preferred.
Experience:

1-3 years in project coordination within academia, think tanks, or research/policy institutions.
Knowledge:

Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools plus a professional or academic background in global economic governance and development issues.
Tech Proficiency:

MS Office, especially Excel; Monday Project Collaboration; Canva; Adob
Other:

Must be able to travel locally and internationally. Must be willing to work occasionally beyond regular working hours to staff events or organize online meetings with partners in different time zones.
