Overview:
Without immediate supervision, supports projects as assigned by senior management.
Typical job responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:
Plans, schedules, organizes, monitors, and provides reports/metrics for multiple projects to ensure compliance with contract requirements, budgetary guidelines, and satisfactory implementation of an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) program approach.
Support various Project Managers with all aspects of contracting project life cycle, including scope definition, estimating, developing detailed plans, tracking, managing, and communicating project status.
Supports compliance of project contracts to applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR) requirements.
Develops the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract; develop and maintain project coding.
Develops project schedules/cost control programs.
Recommends solutions or recovery plans to schedule/cost impact or delay.
Analyzes variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan and communicates the reasons with the Project Manager(s).
Maintains Contract Budget Logs; Provides Status of Management Reserves.
Provides input to risk management identification, mitigation, and tracking.
Utilizes automated cost management and scheduling systems.
Prepares monthly reporting data and metrics.
Provides historical data.

Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner.

Qualifications:
Education & Certifications:
AA degree in a related field and 5 years of experience supporting DOE projects, including training and experience with DOE Project(s) Earned Value Management System (EVMS) program implementation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Position title to be established based on degree and skillset.
Experience & Requirements:
Typical experience ranges from 5-10 years or greater.
Strong PC skills including Microsoft office suite.
Understanding of DOE EVMS principles for Control Accounts and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), including scope, budget, schedule, reporting requirements, variance analysis, change control and risk management.
Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software experience (preferred)
Automated accounting and cost management systems (preferred)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
