We have established lasting relationships with many residential, commercial, and industrial utility customers. We are a unique electrical contractor due to the fact that we perform so many different types of electrical work. We perform residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work, including sports lighting, airport lighting, traffic signal, underground systems, pole-line, and utility work. With over 120 employees and 300 pieces of equipment, there is no job too small or too large for Jess Howard Electric Company. Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant provides routine administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, or providing information to callers. Skills and Qualifications: 1-year experience in administration/support. High School Diploma or equivalent. Proven organization and time management skills. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with a confident, concise, clear, and compelling style. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Expert at scheduling appointments/updating calendars. Ability to project a professional and positive demeanor and image. Responsibilities Include: Answer telephones and conduct office coordination for assigned Estimators and Project Managers. Assist Project Managers and Estimators with bidding, contracting, and change orders. Prepare and submit all project bid documents correctly with signatures, bond, and any additional paperwork. Prepare all correspondence, including but not limited to letters, scope letters, and emails. Assist Estimators and Project Managers with reports, spreadsheets, project documents, and others as necessary. Coordinate with other staff members all project documentation necessary to close out the project upon completion. Assist with scheduling and planning meetings for assigned Estimators and Project Managers. Complete and track all job setup and change order forms. Receive all contracts and ensure contracts are signed and returned in a timely manner. Provide reception coverage when needed. Complete other job duties as assigned. WORK ARRANGEMENT
