We are seeking a dedicated Program Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in empowering young scholars to achieve their academic dreams. As a Program Officer, you will be instrumental in implementing our college services program to support and guide CSF scholars towards successful college degree attainment. Your responsibilities will include providing personalized coaching and support services both on-campus and remotely, collaborating closely with campus partners, and facilitating engaging events to enhance students' college and career readiness. Additionally, you will contribute to data management and reporting efforts to measure our impact and ensure continuous improvement.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize CSF's coaching approach to empower students, helping them develop essential skills and access necessary resources for college persistence.
Employ effective outreach and engagement strategies to maximize participation in coaching sessions and CSF events.
Foster collaborative relationships with priority campuses and campus liaisons to ensure seamless support for CSF scholars.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of campus and community resources, facilitating access for young adults through various channels.
Facilitate group meetings and events aimed at equipping students with vital college and career success skills.
Encourage the formation of peer support networks among students, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
Contribute to the development and delivery of college and career content through both virtual and in-person channels.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance advising processes and delivery methods based on data insights and industry trends.
Plan and manage student events, ensuring effective budget utilization and seamless execution.
Support data management efforts using SalesForce, including system improvements, report generation, and communication with stakeholders.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience working with underrepresented students in higher education.
Strong knowledge of campus/university systems and resources for students.
Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to problem-solve proactively and make sound decisions independently.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Flexibility to travel to various college campuses and attend meetings as required (up to 10% travel).
Qualifications for the Position:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in student services or education support.
Alumni of CSF programming or scholarship recipients (or former recipients) highly preferred.
Physical Demands:
Ability to operate office equipment and communicate effectively.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.
Work Environment:
Ability to work collaboratively in a virtual environment.
Flexible and adaptable to meet deadlines and handle high-volume tasks.
Condition of Employment:
Must reside in the state of Washington or Washington, DC region.
Successful completion of a drug screening prior to hire.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 65,000.00 68,000.00 Per Year
