ConMet's Program Engineering Manager is responsible for managing awarded projects to the time, cost, and quality requirements, as well as provide project management leadership and drive accountability to a cross-functional team. The Program Engineering Manager will utilize engineering and project management talents to facilitate customer product design and development from concept to completion.
This role requires working in an office environment (not hybrid or remote) at ConMet's corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington. Non-local candidates must be open to relocation (relocation assistance available.  Key Duties Define, manage, and direct work for awarded projects to ensure all technical, timing, budgetary, and quality requirements are achieved. Facilitate customer product design and development from concept through completion. Mentor and assist in development of Program Engineers and Project Managers. Recruit and onboard Program Engineers and Project Managers. Lead the management signoff process and on time completion of APQP phases. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Identify and resolve issues/risks using established engineering and project management tools and techniques. Interfaces with Applications Engineering, Program Engineering, Design Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing and Tooling Engineering, Manufacturing plants, Quality, Sales, Test, Proto Build Teams, Tier 2 suppliers, and other appropriate ConMet and external Customer Functions Lead team in creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation. Qualifications Detail-oriented individual who can provide program management leadership and drive accountability to a cross functional team. Experience within the automotive and/or commercial trucking industry launching new interior and/or exterior injection molded plastic components and assemblies. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. At least five years' experience in the plastics industry preferred; commercial vehicle knowledge or commercial vehicle component knowledge desired. Compensation & Benefits  New hires generally start between $112,756 - $161,000.  The full salary range for the position, across all geographies is, $112,756 - $193,296 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience. Targeted annual bonus is based on company performance to objectives during the fiscal plan year which runs from October 1 – September 30. Comprehensive employee benefits package, including medical/dental/vision coverage, life and disability protection. Vacation plan – ConMet offers exempt employees a paid vacation benefit that provides the flexibility to take time off from work based on factors including good discretion, sound performance, and consideration of overall team and business needs. Paid sick leave up to 10 days (80 hours) per calendar year ConMet offers an extremely strong retirement package: ESOP - Participation (100% company paid) in the ConMet/Amsted Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP). The Company contributes 10% of considered compensation into this plan each fiscal year. 401k - The Company provides a 401(k) Plan with a 4% employer contribution match. Ten paid holidays per year.
